IELTS General Training vs CELPIP-General
For Canadian Express Entry, IRCC accepts both versions. Choose the format you can practise consistently, not a test someone else called “easier.”
| Feature | CELPIP-General | IELTS General Training |
|---|---|---|
| Skills | Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking | Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking |
| Speaking | Responses to on-screen prompts, recorded at the computer | Interview with an examiner |

Community members often debate which exam feels easier. Those accounts reflect personal strengths, test conditions, and preparation; use a timed sample of each format to make your choice.
